|
|
Time and tiredness can make the difference between life and death in a fight situation, whether that is with players or mobs. Especially over the short run, hotkeys can:
a) save you a lot of time
b) considerably reduce your typing load therefore you're less tired
c) leave your mind more free to think about the "big picture" i.e. what to do next
A hotkey is something you make with your mud client. When you make a hotkey, you program a button to send an entire command to the game in just one keystroke.
Example for ZMUD:
#key {m} {kill brownie}
Now you only have to press m, and the command is expanded and sent.
What would you like to be faster at typing? |

Those aren't hotkeys. They're called aliases. Get your terminology straight. |

Go back to FL dummy. haha
hotkey = executed when you press instead of requiring typing the thing in and enter it. hence the need to use #KEY |

Try here:

I use Rapscallion and love it. I think it's been discontinued, but the author has posted the source code. It's also missing some little extras, but I don't use them anyway. Hey, the input panel alone makes it beat the crap out of telnet. |
