Is there a way to automatically pick up a sleeping item with you, like a tent or bag. I've had two items stolen out from under me by people I can't kill and its costing me money. Last time it was stolen I was using wake;get item but the person still got it before me.. is there a command to auto-get your bag?
people sure are ballsy to take your crap when you cant harm them.. |

There's not an actual command, but you can try using aliases or triggers (depending on your preference and your mud client) to do the work for you. You'll still have to be quicker than the person standing there vulturing over your sleeping body, but it's the only way to go about it.

'number one....You cant just rest in a bag/tent. You have to be woken up by someone in order to rest in one.
Secondly, you can choose to sleep in a less comon place to rest. I assume that at least one of your thievings was at the entrance to emerald, cuz everyone sits there. Just walk one south from the entrance and that will help you a bunch. Just cuz no one will be sleeping there with you, and wont be able to spam take bag. |

Use the parting command (default for zMud is ';') to do more than one action in one typed phrase (ie. 'wake; get bag') |

Yes there is a way to automaticly get your stuff, use gmud. Set your alias.
Alias
wake = wake, get tent, put tent sack
sleep = get tent sack, drop tent, sleep tent
Let me know if you have any troubles, you can download gmud from ar main page under play now

Hah, in most clients you'd cause an infinite loop. Safest way is to use the shortforms like: wak = wake;get tent;put tent sack, and sl = get tent sack;drop tent;sleep tent |

Use sleeptent(or bag)on/off to toggle if you have a sleeping bag or a tent, use 'bedtime' to take tent/sleeping bag out of sack, drop it on the ground, and then sleep in it, finally use wakeup to wake, get the sleeping bag/tent, and put the said object into your sack.
Code: |
#alias sleepbagon {t+ sleepbag}
#alias sleepbagoff {t- sleepbag}
#alias sleeptenton {t+ sleeptent}
#alias sleeptentoff {t- sleeptent}
#class sleepbag
#alias bedtime {get bag sack; drop bag; sleep bag}
#alias wakeup {wake; get bag; put bag sack}
#class 0
#class sleeptent
#alias bedtime {get tent sack; drop tent; sleep tent}
#alias wakeup {wake; get tent; put tent sack}
#class 0 |

Or you could do this:
Quote: |
> pitch tent
You pitch a small tent.
> unpitch tent
You roll up a small tent as you pick it up. |
Only the owner of the tent can unpitch the tent. |

Code: |
> pitch bag
You tack your sleeping bag to the floor with a handful of very large wooden pins.
> sl bag
You're too fat to get in the bag! |
oh oh, better idea
Code: |
> sit bag
You climb into a sleeping bag.
> tie bag self
You tie yourself to your sleeping bag with a stretch of twine.
> sl bag
You go to sleep in a sleeping bag.
...
> wake
You wake up and rest in a sleeping bag.
> stand
You wobble to your feet. Mwahaha, nobody stole it!
You beam broadly at nothing in particular.
> n
You hop north awkwardly in a sleeping bag. |
