Pay attention to how often those attacks come out - one method might be, wield weapons of different damage, and see which one's doing the most. That should answer your question.

Your primary weapon will probably hit more often, so theoretically your primary weapon type will increase faster than your offhand weapon type.

This is dependent on several factors of course: dual wield proficiency (which increases the % of success of offhand attacks, I think), second/third/fourth attack proficiency (since more attacks per round will increase the chance of gaining proficiency... more use = more chance to get better, etc.), weapon proficiencies (if your primary weapon is 1% and your offhand is 80%, that might affect things) and things like that.

I'd say as a general rule the primary weapon will increase faster since it's your primary/dominant hand that you're fighting with, and you're going to use your dominant hand more often than your weaker/secondary hand.
