'IMBUE'
Syntax: imbue <object> <recipe>
(Recipes are sold at participating stores.)
Alchemy - or the quest to turn lead into gold. Is it a real science, or
just a bunch of hocus pocus? So far, only one thing about it is known
for certain. Thera's wizards and witches that practice alchemy have
some extremely reliable ways to turn valuable belongings into useless
charred piles of ash and sulfur.
Swing by your local alchemist sometime, and be sure to bring along some
money to get the ball rolling. For a price, naturally, you may buy the
recipe of reagents. EXAMINE the recipe to learn what you need. Once you
have collected all the necessary reagants (that's your job of course, the
field is far too dangerous to risk these meddling intellectuals in),
return to have your item imbued.
But will it work? Nobody has yet proven that it can't, but the scribes
recommend not risking ANYTHING irreplacable!
Notes:
* IMBUES are a form of crafting for the wealthy, not only may it
require many attempts to turn a RARE into a good item, there is a
chance it will be destroyed outright.
* REAGENTS are often found in pseudo-random places, such as flowers
growing in a specific area, an item found somewhere in a mob group.
Some are most easily found during group play. Others you will have
to trade for.
* RECIPES are found in alchemists. You don't need to actually buy
one to imbue with. Just bring the right reagents. |
Essentially imbueing allows you to re-roll rares to create random items, without going into unnecessary detail about how this works I will give you this:
1) the objects level matters
2) the recipe level maters
3) the reagents are sort of tricky to find, the quickest way is probably to trade, hopefully you'll keep a few as a sort of currency because re-rolling rares is much better than selling them. I imagine there is going to be some people who have nothing better to do than get on with that.
Now since they're rares you're re-rolling, they can actually pop out high quality easier than your average gamble. They can also be complete crap, just like any other rare, and they're also subject to the limits of gambling eq stats, whatever those are..
Once again - rares only. |

Er, yeah. I just forgot to actually enable the command for mortals. Ironic considering how much testing I've done. |

I don't think I would consider that comment snide, in fact a burnout is just someone who has been working themselves too hard and too much. It should be taken as a compliment by Davairus, specifically keying in on his dedication to this Mud. |
