how come most every werebeast I see can only transform into a boar? what's with that?

It's random which type of werebeast you get.

I think males get tiger, boar and fox or something..
Females get different, more pansy sounding ones like falcon or something.

Some people even re-make werebeasts if they don't get the transform they like. It kicks in at rank 15 or so.

Should be were-goats.

You used to be able to find out immediately what animal you were based on your transformed attacks in the newbie ranks (you weren't told which one in "score" until your 15th)

But, I think Dav or whoever was tired of werebeasts deleting after they didn't get the one they wanted so soon after creation so he made it not kick in until 15, to slow down the rate at which beast players deleted because of the time it took to get to 15 (before surges and all) to finally experience which beast you were. So it was basically a retaliation to make players stick with their char or waste more time rolling another. Unless you were m1co and rolled 3 beast rangers and ranked them all at the same time in the same group and hope for the best before you get denied.

Boar's always been the most common with me, then wolf, then tiger.

The added bonuses each one gained was a big part of their appeal, tiger and wolf serve best in pk though (wolf tended to be the best).
