Earrings? Whats the point really?

I've had a couple with no benefit I could tell unless part of a set. Are most of them useless? Are there ones that affect str, dex, ect. Just wonering bout that.

As far as I know, they used to have minor stats but now earrings are either part of sets or just to add a little flavor to a character.

used to be an earring you could make from winter that gave four hitroll, it was pimp. now they are just another completely useless tool of the game
