Fells and Abyssals

Just curious what your thoughts are. This is a storyline/gameplay segment that people have gone back and forth over (it should be kept for good, should be taken out now, etc., etc.). Just trying to see what the popular opinion is.

I thought of it as, if you need to be more PK involved, play one. You will get better at PKing or running, since you will probably get attacked a bit. It's good to have that.

Indeed, and it is not very newbie friendly. They make the mistake of being one, or having a tough run in with one.

I agree, all the little buggers do now is hide. I have seen four on in the past two days and I have not ran into one at all.

They usually wait till your ranking then come in and attack because half of them can't win in a fair fight.

Quite a few people make traitors to have some trash pking fun, which detracts from the game in my opinion and is another reason to end this quest. That said..

With fells/abyssals there is no such things as a fair fight. Either one mortal is getting ganged by a shitload of traitors, or one traiter is getting ganged by a shitload of mortals. And honestly, if I was a traitor I wouldn't care if you were training, ranking, or sitting on your ass. Thats the same if I was any character really, you're playing the game, so expect to be attacked. People do it to me, so I'll do it to you. But that depends on my alignment and the way I play my character at the time as well. But normally I would, heh.

I love em, but the idea kind of went downhill. All the gangbanging, by both sides, took away from the actual quest and turned it into a contest of who had more people on at one time.
However, they were a ton of fun to play--nothing quite like taking out your whole range after only being alive for 10 hours or something.
