I've noticed there are some items that affect age. What does that mean? Does your age, like the hours played age twenty two business actually affect things? |

Its sort of a nod to the games which inspired this one. Where old age would eventually kill you off. Avians living short lives, humans not too long, elves and dwarves both long, etc. You could wear age items and make yourself "age die" sooner. A spell like haste would also cause you to age faster which was drawback to using it. Becoming a vampire would eliminate age-death for you. This isn't a part of the AR experience, although there's a part of me that deeply wishes it was. I would love to have levelling up allow you to live longer and dying a lot causing you to age-die sooner. I don't think we have a playerbase interested in that at all. |

That would be freakin sweet. Being able to age die would be awsome. And seeing how we have delete/rage delete condie denied now we can have Old age |

haha old age...constitution, strength, dexterity slowly deteriorate; intelligence remains constant; wisdom increases over time. |

If it's imped... i'd say have people die variably. like, you're walking through winter.. and your 50 year old storm giant healer has a heart attack. I'd laugh. |

only eating meat or cheese makes you have 1% probability of just dying out of thin air
excessive consumption of alcohol may lead to toxic overdose death
death from staying awake for more than 72 hours without sleeping |

As long as we can keep the aging the same as it is now.. i.e. 24hrs = 18yrs (to use an example immediately available to me), I am cool with it. I do think it is starting to get nit-picky with the realism. |

But the RP angle is endless. You can have potions and scrolls that sustain your age and power. Elric for example. |

It would be neat to have as an OPT IN like Hardcare was. So the RP junkies could use it for fun, change their description over time, the lag increases for combat delays but decreases for spell casting, etc etc. |

With all of the rage deletes, honestly, is this something that the imms should spend time on over other things? |

Let me preface this by saying that I'm in the process of creating a list of issues with the mud, and the plan is to reach some point later where I'll be ready to judge which issues I want to address, then I can spend a day or two knocking off the easy things, implementing the more involved fixes for things that took time to think over, and post out a cumulative note. I've decided that this will be a more effecient way to get through changes than just following whims and the flavour of the month. |
