Point blank allows you to parry with a bow. My questions are these:
Will you parry better with a greater proficiency at Point Blankl? Or is there no connection? Seeing that you can improve your Point Blank % while parrying, I am curious about the exact connection or dependency between the two skills.
And then, how does parrying with a bow compare against other weapons? Is it a strong as say a staff or polearm? Seeing how a bow is a two-handed weapon. |

Two star parry or something weak like that, it is a standard offensive weapon. It works out well because you have that and dodge, against no defense at all in its intended application (anti dual wield). High risk (get hobbled or swiped while wearing a bow and you are in real trouble), high reward. |

Point blank skill simply enables you to use parry with a bow. Like the lightning sai that allows you enhanced dual parry. I believe the success rate is still based on the off/def aspect of bows (HELP BOW), you'll see that bow is the strongest two handed weapon offensively, but also weakest defensively.
Normally you cannot parry with a bow (Thieves for example cannot). Point blank mitigates that somewhat with warrior classes, but does not boost the potency of the parry skill. (At least it should not) |
