Ok well after playing different characters throughout my time here at AR I have come to notice something.

Mobs that autoattack when a player is marked as an Anathema for example sir sorrow and Diana among others. I understand the whole Lightwalker mobs that attack Anathema what I dont understand and I am wondering why there are no mobs that attack contracted people?

I think that being contracted is not as bad other than Legion and Legion applicants messing with you.
Where as if your Anathema you have Knights, Knight applicants and mobs to deal with.

I know this has a very good chance at getting shot down but why not make evil mobs attack contracted people? I am sure that there are plenty of mobs and places that are fit to be able to do it as long as its equal to Anathema attacking mobs.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

I personally think that almost any mobs assisting because of a flag is ridiculous. Especially when the two fighting are equal level. Favorite example is when I (mthakik) was fighting Lorelle and she would sit at samodan (or whatever.) making a very unbalanced fighting situation due to a flag lorelle had nothing to do with, just reaping the benefits. The only flag that should do something is wanted, because it is the easiest one to avoid.

I do agree with you Dead but its been in the game for a long time. And yeah it does suck when you kill someone in valour get the flag and all those Knight/cityguard type mobs there jump you kinda defeats any reason why to attack any lightwalker as an evil cause there is always that chance your gonna get fucked if you win.

But like I said its part of the game for a long time and I know alot of people use it to their advantage but it still dont change the fact that its unbalanced. I can get contracted and go anywhere and not to have to worry about any mobs but if I get anathema i have to make sure where I go, what rooms I enter or whatever. My train of thought is that if we have mobs that attack the Knight flag anathema then why not get mobs that attack the Legion flag contracted?

Has anyone looked into how those mobs behave against anathema lately? Just curious because I'm pretty sure we tweaked it a month or two ago.

Those Mobs attack against anathema Olyn I've noticed that if they dont attack when you walk into the room they will attack upon the tick from my experiences.

And Ergorion if you get anathema you have to worry about the knight ninja granted not exactly as scary as Ygin but still.

And Ygin is not a MOB lol

I'm pretty sure they don't auto-attack pinnacles anymore. I don't know if it applies to lower levels.

And Smotpoker, Ygin is worse than a mob. He tracks you down and pwns your ass so hard you don't even have time to wor.

the way to get this changed is to become a "lightwalker" and abuse this by sleeping to full health next to these mobs. Other than that, I'm not sure what will change the minds of the imms on this. I think they believe its important, particularly if we consider that new players should and will choose good alignment to be safer and have things easier.

if you've noticed, evil versions of races also get stat penalties. duergar and drow get -2 or -3 to all their stats added up compared to dwarf and elf. Things are harder for evils because they have free reign to pk when and how and who they please. I believe the aggro mobs are to prevent this from destroying new players and turning them off. I personally think its okay for the valour mobs, but it doesn't make quite as much sense for the emerald forest mobs and other randoms that are just wandering in the wild.

hint: New players pick GOOD ALIGNMENT for an easier learning curve.
