[Vevier]

I have this idea and I'm wondering if anyone else would find it helpful for them. As someone who plays legacy characters, I can sometimes find it difficult to remember what happened early on in my characters life. For example, I remember having lots of good rp and ranking between Vevier, some illu and a necromancer or something at low levels, but I can't remember who they were or what we rp'ed.

Basically History or Journals would be a history more current than your background, and wouldn't be a requirement to get into any cabal or coterie. It would be something that the IMMs would check, just to make it's in character and acceptable to eventually be posted on the forums, but we wouldn't 'approve' it so you can't change it any more.

This can serve as a memory device for people like me and also as justification for people who want to play characters outside the cookie cutter norm.

For example: You have a Legion applicant. You've desc'ed him as extremely charming and handsome. Tall Dark and Evil starts flirting with this young paladin chick, being sweet and winning her over. On the surface everyone is like 'wah wah evils shouldn't fall in love with goods bad rp kick him out.' but your journal reads. "Got the paladin eating out of the palm of my hand. Next time I see her, I'll make her lead me to the knights, and then I'll have my revenge." Much more evil and justified and when IMMs read the reports of bad RP, then look at your journal, we won't have to even bother having that awkward discussion with you.

I like it! When I read your example of the Legion/paladin, in my mind I immediately thought of Tiqa as the paladin 'chick' and Ergorian as the Legion, just based on you you described it. Man I think I play too much AR and read the forums too much!
