As far as shrink weapon - what about making it temporary, so that if you shrink a weapon eventually it will revert to it's full size and make it so you'll drop it. Make it cast heavy (100 mana, like enchant weapon), but it won't destroy the weapon outright.

Didn't read the whole thread as I have to run, but here's something I wrote up a couple years back that was based on a pixie race. Ruffle through it, discard whatever, keep something if you like it. Adieu.

Fae (Shee, Rit, Pi) - Fae are mythological creatures that were written down in folklore many times. The Fae beings are what “Fairies” were based off of (though most Fae HATE being called Fairy/Fairies and will lash out aggressively at those who do so). They are usually extremely mischievous, enjoying confusing others with their words, though Fae never lie. They range in size based on bloodline, cannot touch iron without it causing severe burns, and hate being told 'thank you', as they see it as a sign as one forgetting the good deed done, and want something that'll guarantee remembrance. Nonetheless, if the squirrelly beings can be befriended, they make a useful ally. Fae are know to live up to 500 years old.

Shee - Pronounced ‘she’, the Shee bloodline are tiny Fae that love mischief and can do so well with their small size. Shee usually live with many other Shee in a bee-like colony usually built into a tree trunk, hollow in the ground, or even sometimes a nest. Shee have been known to go out and find larger companions to befriend and use their larger friend’s size as a bodyguard of sorts. They have transparent, insect or butterfly-like wings and are usually fair-haired, though on a rare occasion, Shee have been known to have dark hair. Depending on the collective that the dark-haired Shee is born into, that Shee will either be outcast, or exalted as a glorious being. Shee are extremely wily and scheming.

Rit - Pronounced ‘reet’, the Rit are larger than the Shee, standing at around 2-3 feet tall. They tend to have large, bird-like wings that carry them from place to place. They live in small families, usually around 10 Rit in a family. Once 10 Rit live within a family, all newborn Rit will be sent out to make it on their own. They usually have odd-colored hair, ranging from magenta to neon green to blue to even striped and spotted hair. Their eyes are usually a peculiar color as well, making it difficult to disguise themselves. They have a knack for getting into places they shouldn't be, easily getting past locks.

Pi - Pronounced ‘pih’, the Pi are human-sized, differing from Humans in their exotic eye/hair colors. They differ from other Fae in that they cannot fly. They are extremely mysterious and highly sought out by slavers for their appearances, gaining their captors great sums. This is dangerous, though, for the Pi, when threatened, can use their ultra-strong fingernails to carve weapons from wood or metal within a matter of moments.

Default Abilities:
Shee = Flight/Wings & Sneak
Rit = Flight/Wings & Knock
Pi = Beast Call/100% Hand-to-Hand

Offensive shrink weapon would be really cool. If it were restricted to the rangers and berserkers, that would give them some help and strategic options besides die or run

That would be very interesting. Not sure why it should be restricted against certain classes? If I am understanding correctly, the pixie would be able to offensively shrink anyone's weapon. So if the opponent was fighting with a certain type of weapon that shrunk, then they would have to decide to still wield the shrunken weapon or switch to an inferior weapon style.

shrunk weapon needs to be restricted to size small because otherwise you can basically dual wield vorpals etc.

Yeah, lets get this done tonight. I think we've talked out the issues. I have some other fun stuff planned to release with cracked skull tourney but there's no reason for this piece to be delayed until that is ready. I'd rather have it tried out + balanced before the event
