I wouldn't recommend it if you have cabal aspirations or are a member of a cabal because you want to avoid all OOC interaction. At the end of the day though, you should play the way you have the most fun. I wouldn't go out of my way to out a character but it's not the end of the world if some people know it's you or if you post with your forum name on the logboard.

It will change the way people interact with you in-game though. Maybe try it out and see what happens, it's not normally enjoyable. I don't recommend it.
