I hate to be the one who brings this to an end because I've been taking advantage of it myself. The value of items are way too high, which means you can gather even crappy equipment laying on the ground, sell it at a shop, and make a fortune off of it. This used to not be a problem since the shopkeepers would never have enough money for it because they never sold anything decent. Now that people actually buy arrows off of them, you can make a huge ammount of gold selling equipment to them. One quick run through the goblins will net you a few thousand gold.
I have no problem with making a profit by gathering and selling items. I just think that items should have their value adjusted to reflect their actual worth. Goblin swords should be selling for 30 gold, not 360. Fur jackets should be selling for around 150 gold, not 1200. |

It is just possible that the Imms saw that coming, and gimped other gold sources (read Braem Imps) to make up for it... |

by the way i think it would be cool if you could get stuff from one area and walk it over to some far area and sell it for more price than you would by selling it to a nearby town. recall and gate would interfere with that though.
could just make it so the gold that people give to buy stuff is transferred or sac'd automatically. |

Uhhh.. that would mean that no shopkeepers would have any money to buy stuff. Ever. So, if you do that, you might as well just get rid of selling items altogether. There's no difference there. Selling would be literally impossible. |
