The best way to get a vampire is to get any character into the Halls of the Exalted. Any player with an exalted character in the Graveyard is allowed to roll a vampire from level 1.

It's still possible to be turned as a level 25 dark knight, but this requires getting Nycticora's attention in-character. Her attention is best attracted by executing PKs backed by strong roleplay on the law/chaos axis, by betraying party members or gangbanging, and by interacting with Mystics and Heralds. As Nycticora gets older and more powerful as an immortal it becomes less and less appropriate to interact with mortals and respond to their prayers and notes in-character. Your character is just another face in the crowd, and it takes significant accomplishments to be seen as someone worthy of attention.

If any mortal vampire wants to take over the responsibility of turning level 25 DKs, send a note to IMMORTAL and we'll try something out. You must be level 50 and have over 500 active hours in-game and a worthy name (people recognize and fear you) to be eligible for this position.
