One of the tips for playing a ninja is:

Carry daggers, maces, and exotic weapons, to switch for weapon type advantage.

Maces should just be changed to spears.

Actually, you're right. I still think the format of that sentence sucks though.

No it shouldn't.

It's not saying the life IS crude. It's saying the nobles would consider it crude.

Adding 'is' would be pointless and would change the message.

Basically, the current message is this.
'The noble life is deemed lazy by knights, and the life of a knight deemed crude by nobles.'

Adding 'is' would change it to something like this.
'The noble life is deemed lazy by knights, and the life of a knight is crude.'

The sentance is fine as is.
