What draws you in?

Just curious what aspect of AR you enjoy the most.

Are you a hardcore, bloodthirsty PK machine?

Do you prefer to sit in a tavern and roll off stories about your past?

Can you just not get enough of all the cool items?

Do you love those neat quests, and interacting with mobs and creatures?

Please elaborate if you can, as the poll choices are pretty limited...

What "drew" me in was the fast paced action and the monk class, about two and a half years ago. I was way into DBZ, (which I'm not afraid to admit 'cos just posting on this board makes me a huge loser/nerd/geek anyway ) and I liked muds, and this mud was as close to that action as I could find. Fast, balanced, descriptive, etc.

The player base isn't too small, though it could be better, and people seem to take RP seriously which is great - I have the option to RP whole a lot if I want or not, and I like that.

And the people are cool in general, too.

It's not really one thing for me, some chars I pk with, some chars I rp with. If you call what I do pk and rp, hah. Just six, seven years of playing I don't really want to quit would rather play then watch tv. Some days are good and I can't wait to log on and some days suck and I feel like deleting everyone but Groq, never would but eh. It's just not one thing for me that makes me log back in every time and I like pretty much everyone that plays so...

I come here to RP, its sort of an escapism thing. Although while I voted for the RP all day (because I could) I think it would grow old fast without the threat of people killing you, as long as that's role played too. I've been RPing for years in various chat rooms and forum sites, but what makes AR better is that its alot faster. Instead of typing out 'Xazappith smiles at the bunny' I can just type 'smile bunny'. It enables me to concentrate on the meat of the matter. Its nice when you get people who will sit with you for some time and let you get into that.
