Okay, a few months ago I suggested being able to restring eq, and it was kinda obvious how bad it would turn out. But I'd still like to be able to do custom jewellery and clothing, so it'd be nice if shopkeepers could get paid to "sow" or "design" some clothing or "bling bling" as the kids these days call it. Wouldnt need any stats. Nadda. Just there for appearance,
preferably it'd all have a light weight value because you'd want your primary hit/dam/saves/hp eq on hand to switch to. But yeah, I want something that lets me get custom clothing! |

Custom clothing is usually given as a reward for imm run quests. Like the firefly squashings today. Some lowbie giant got a pair of earrings. |

Maybe something like this -
step 1
* submit your design to the heralds (e.g. soiled brown leather set)
* if its approved by imm, its print is added to a herald coatpeg (i.e. an item they make, that only they can remove, replicate, store, etc)
e.g.
> look print
a cotton bonnet
a pair of red sleeves
a black waistcoat
soft leather pants
long black boots
step 2
* heralds may sell you the print
* go to the tailor in timaran to shop to turn it into your 'kit'
* print turns into your clothes! hurray. statless & rotdeath of course
Would give them something to do, and unless the heralds are incompetent, only requires Imms involved at the very first step where they approve a design |

Sounds like an interesting idea. God way for heralds to have another viable purpose. |

Oh please, oh please let this happen. It'd be the coolest thing to happen around here for a while. |

Hahaha... Dav, don't read this. Just go somewhere else, it's okay, really. |

Personally, I think this would be really really cool and fun to play with. If it would all work out I think it would be a neat rp aspect. Concidering people put stuff in their description anyways, this way they could actually be wearing some of those little trinkets. |

Excellent idea, in my opinion. Would help each character have just a little bit more uniqueness that decided to go with this, and I think most people would be willing. |

Possibly I'd wear earrings, but unless I was a 0-61 pacifist character, there's no way I'd be wearing a whole set.
Still, if it wasn't long to code, it would be YANT (Yet Another Nice Thing). |

Got nothing substantive to add other than my affirmative nod at the proposed idea. |

A slight suggestion i'd make is making something like a really pathetic weapon. Because that would generate a lot of interest for some people who like to add them in their descriptions. In addition, I'd vote for all the money going straigth to heralds rather than paying out a shopkeeper. Have a room in the Rest devoted to it that they can use for etheir free or a nominal fee. This way, the Heralds can make things without the bother of havign to pay for it when most of the work would really be theirs. Also, as an incetive for gainign ranks in the organization, have the creation of theprints assigned to a certain Heraldic rank? If this is left in IMM hands it coudl really realyl bog you guys down and limit you.. Dangerous leaving it to Heralds, but most high ranking ones are semi-competent... Most... |

Speaking as a Herald this may not be hard to do but it will require more training from you Dav. And I saw you gave Iriqeous special pants can i have some special pants |

HAHA!!! If you fit the prerequisite for those "special pants," I'm sure Dav wouldn't mind throwing a pair your way...
Actually, on second thought, there's no need to make a second pair. If you fit the prerequisite for those "special pants," you can just use Iriqeous' pair. |
