Im getting it enough to piss me off and I've figured out it has to do with my wireless card and not the router. The card just basically freezes, Im not sure if I can ask this kind of advice here but if anyone knows how to fix it I'd be grateful.

what happens is it will be working normally then all of the sudden connection drops. if I hook up a cable i'll get connection back instantly so thats proves its just the card, the card freeezes and you cant use the repair action or disable it until it stops being frozen.

You'll first want to check your signal strength. Depending on what card you have, most of them come with software that lets you monitor and log the signal strength (most people never install this crap anyways). Log the signal strength for a few hours and see how it fluctuates. Lots of things can interfere with your wireless connectivity, and cause severe packet loss that your connection gets dropped - cordless house phones, bluetooth, microwave ovens, cell phones, etc. Not saying that they all do, its just a possibility with anything that produces a signal in your wifi's wave length or close to it. Also, if you're using a laptop with a pcmci card, try to elevate the laptop off of your desk, or move the laptop to the edge of the desk so that the card sticks out over the side. Signal strength can improve when the whole card is exposed to open air as opposed to blocking the entire underside of the card with the desk.

Lastly you'll want to make sure that the brand name of the card matches that of the router. Again, not entirely necessary, but experience has taught me that connections drop a lot more frequently when using say a D-Link router with a Netgear wireless card.

When all else fails, just use cabling.
