Ranger Javelin Lvl 30+
Maybe every 10 lvls they wold also learn a better way to carve javelins; Kind of like how every 5 lvls they can summon a new pet.
Or, in different forests they can carve javelins out of different wood types. Though this way might be to much in the coding department.
Rangers can create bows and arrows, correct? Why not allow them to create Javelins as well? In Emerald Forest the Ancient Ranger Lord creates them, will every day rangers ever be able to carve them as well?
It's a failrly simple suggestion, or else I would put more into it.

I am sorry, and I absolutely HATE to contradict someone like you, Davairus, but I disagree. For example, what about Giant Strength? I am pretty sure that is an item for purchase in Echuir's shop. Yet that is still a spell. Why waste a practice on that? If not giant strength, then armor. That is for sale in Seringale's scroll shop. It is also a spell for more than one class. Why then, I ask, waste a practice on that? I really am hesitant to put this on, but I think your argument is obsolete.

"Armor" isn't a good example... it costs 5 mana for -20 to AC (which, as stated millions of times, doesn't really matter much at high ranks anyway). The mana cost on making javelins would be a ridiculous amount higher than that, since javelins arguably make such a larger difference in combat than an armor spell.
"Giant strength" in my opinion is another of those 'less-than-desirable' spells. It's great if you're weakened or something, but I don't really see many applications for it (except weaken, equipment with -str, etc.). If you don't feel like wasting practices on it, then keep 'em and buy potions. There are free versions of both armor and giant strength as well. |
