| I've never led cabal with mortals.. and I dont think this is the measure of success, as hard as it is, the difficulty is only in people in the way. If you get to fourth rank in cabals.... enforcers of Justice and blademaster of Warlord for example.. then you have achieved something few will ever do. Going beyond that is done by sitting on your ass. |

| I totally agree with dav it takes more to get to the fourth rank then to lead the cabal. With hamp I worked my ass off to get to Guardian then after that the executor title got passed around. With Groq I got to Dreadlord by working my ass of and then just sat there and eventually got handed the the Forsaken spot, cabal leader is a good thing but it is much harder getting to the fourth rank. |

| 5 leaders, it was never very hard to get to 4th rank. Just keep killing people and eventually it is handed to you. Then once you become leader it's really fun because you run the show. Especially fun if you are the mortal leader and you are the only member of your cabal and the immortal leader is inactive ie: ugula/zanzabar. |

Dav is pretty much right, cabal leaderships get handed to people who've been sitting around and want it. Frankly, cabal membership isn't competitive enough to the point where there is actual competition for leadership. If you're playing a mediocre caballed character and you're persistent enough with this character, you can expect to be leadered sooner or later.
Caveats: a) a mediocre caballed character is quite different from a mediocre uncaballed character, and b) my notion of "mediocre" might be different from yours, since I'm rather demanding in what I expect from players.
Having said that, being a good cabal leader is one of the hardest things to do in this game. |
