dont use a client too do something untill you can do it well without the client, or your setting yourself up for a fall. some triggers can be very complex i dont understand them yet, this is a thread too share ideas on the many ways a clients triggers/alias's/whatever can be used.
i trigger "you stare at the sky" to, weather
try alias wm, wp, for wield mace, and wield spear
you can set triggers for youve been disarmed and shield disarmed
ln, and le, for scan north and scan east. df for !
you can highlight skill level ups, and rank ups in yellow
these uses are generated by the RoA client, other clients abilities may differ, but please share them anyway for the purpose.
and of course you should take advantage of the extra alias's a client can give you for your emotes, esays, and ecasts. |

Don't feel bad, noob
jk.
Macros are also called Hotkeys. You probably already use them for n,w,s,e,u,d, all on the numpad( 8,2,6,4,etc). You hit a key, immediately a command is entered.
Macros are ideal for equipping strategy. I would use the F-keys or buttons around Numpad for that. F1 or * could be "wield sword; wear shield."
I'd stay away from too many triggers that might occur during battle. Nothing more frustrating than being pumped up by the fight and interrupted/confused during it by your own messy trigger system. Have a way to turn the triggers off, maybe an alias.
Triggers are good for certain things, but eventually you'll find alias/macros to be the most beneficial in a PK or anything, really. It's faster and more intuitive to type "mur" for "murder Beia" (alias), or just hit "*" for "cast acid Beia"(macro).
Experiment with what you have.
If you're looking for what the different clients you could use are, try this:
PortalGTD http://www.gameaxle.com
Free, nice bells and whistles. Similar to Zmud, different scripting approach. |

I use triggers when I'm out of combat for regular junk. Just set a trigger to disable them when you enter combat. |
