Why do dudes play female characters?

I've played online games for a long time, various ones, and there's always been a trend: for more female characters than female players.

So I'm begging the question: Why DO dudes play chicks? I've always been curious why a dude would want to. I'm clueless, so my poll questions might not have anything close to the point, but it was fun nonetheless.

I've had four or so female characters in about seven years.

They've all been evil chaotic.

In speech and mannerisms, my female chars aren't the reserved polite Heraldesque characters. They're not the passive slut-around characters either. My female chars are usually borderline insanity with hateful malicious intensions that have some sort of ultimate goal in mind, and will do what they need to to accomplish it. Basically, kill a lot of people and loot. A female character seeking to be all powerful has a lot more finesse than a male character (idiot brute -- fire giant zerker style). I think it also fits the generic prejudice that women are more cunning, conniving, and overall evil.

I got bored of the male titles for warriors, so I made a female to spice up the Baron of Meteors to Baroness of Meteors. Awesome.

Plus, Avindus told me once that female characters are given more rare items from guy players hopin to hit on the one mud female.

I created a female half-elf bard as a complete joke once, it was priceless to see my friend's reaction when I told him what I created.

Also, femme characters are more fun to play. You have boobs. The most excellent tool in your arsenal are these, and they will help you take over the world.

Not one reason itself makes it more interesting. I've made I think three female characters. The first one was to see if people were less prone to attacking me (and they were) because I was always getting the kick shitted out of me. The second one... same reason...

Third one was because I noticed that guys DO give you rares just because you're a female character, because of the female-only items, to keep me from getting slaughtered all the time... again, and for the psycho chick sort of RP. Oh, also because of free rares from slobbering duergars.

i made a few female characters and well one i rp like my ex big slut would do anything to get what she wanted. another was the whole evil chaotic pycho bitch that will supper glue your dick to the side of your leg when you sleep type. and of course the whole sweet and innocent ticking time bomb that once you say the wrong thing she turns into super bitch.

I played one for the free eq. I just had to witness AR trickin' (guys giving girls money and/or things) for myself. LOL. I remember getting a couple top notch things just for standing around, LOL.
