Hopefully you outdamage him. Otherwise you should have enough health to absorb a few wraths. If wrath is eating you up, run away as fast as you can and try to keep leveling. |

If you got him hobbled then bash should be reliable, and bash will stop wrathing. There are other lags e.g. overhead, sideswipe. And if he wears a shield (harder to lag) dual wield axe/dagger and he'll suck down pincer attacks when he tries to flee out of that... lots of ease there if you look for it. |

Paladins have the highest exp penalty they are not supposed to be easy to kill, and never ask a higher level illusionist to help you. Warriors have a tendancy to not help lower level illusionists rank, so a high level illusionist is not going to help you kill a paladin. If I am right on, sweet. If your the wrong person then you will have no idea what I am talking about.

If your equipment is not so good (warriors need hit/dam) and possibly even if it is, consider wearing 2 dragon eye rings. That should be more than enough aff save, combined w/ your other stuff, to combat wrath.
Your biggest paladin killer, especially against human, is probably going to be dirt. Also sideswipe, barrage, and overhead will be your other staples in this fight, depending on which one you get to use. Then when you have him hurt and getting ready to flee, get your hobble in and you got it.
You could also try the hobble early and chain bash route mentioned above. |

paladins are cleric-warrior. imo they do the first better than the second, in terms of 1v1 pk. I could beat a paladin hard with a dk simply by spamming trip, even when he got away to heal. eventually i had half health and full mana while he was 3/4 health and no mana after healing, and without their spells theyre pretty cake. this what lag skills are for. remember, they also lack a lot of weapon skills.
depends if you want to use hobble(not as useful on nondodge class) while eating wraths, and possibly fail it anyway, or try to go straight for the big lag skills. |

I always thought paladins sub level 30 were warrior bait. Even at 50, they're not too bad if you've got a size advantage on them.
Trying to lag an elf with a halfing sucks |

Unless you have a mercenary and have it rescue you every other second...
Otherwise, yes, warrior bait. |

I don't think you get can rescued out of being dirted can you? Rescues a bigger deal for dodgers that get owned by hobble, which isn't paladins. Unless the hobble is at the very end when you are about to die and won't be able to wait out its duration. |

Mercs dont work. Rescue probability is poor and they cannot be ordered while blinded at all. |

Poor...?
I wish I had a log of the last duel I was in, warrior against paladin. He used his little mercenary rescue trick, and every single time I attacked he had it rescue him. I died. The next duel, he didn't have his merc and I whooped him. He must have been unbelieveably lucky. I don't know whether he reads the forums or not, but you should ask him how many times it failed on him. I would bet none.
Should've blinded him then, I guess. That would've worked well.

You guys go ahead and do that if it works for you. I'll be ready to say "told you so" when it fails and you just lagged yourself to death with it. |

Basically it's like dav said, simple. Barrage if he's wearing a shield.
Sideswipe if he's two-handed, Overhead if he's dual wielding. Hobble
if he lags himself with a wrath, you may land it with wrath being a 1.5 round lag (If that is correct?) Don't spam skills, a warrior can hurt himself if he sideswipes at the wrong time, etc. Trip is useful against paladins that don't fly. Bash IS reliable, paladins don't get protective shield. Other than that, flee murder when he wraths. |

Ask him nicely to stop using wrath, and when that doesn't work you gotta be sneaky. Such ways such as making it unfavorable to stay in combat with you, a higher damroll might make you outdamage him, he's gonna have to be in combat to wrath you, so if you can hurt him through sanc he's not gonna wanna use wrath.
Secret to making a player not do something, make it unfavorable, or take it away. Don't want him to recall? Fight in a cursed place, d'al kaddar, area near dragontower/sorcery, hometowns...Don't want them to hobble? Stay in style advantage, don't want them to attack you? Sit in town with the justice there or run away...It's easy. |

Instead of theorizing how to kill a paladin - which is no sweat anymore, in between them losing dodge and losing effective mid-combat curing - maybe think about trying a paladin and figuring out how to kill a decent (i.e. properly equipped and played) shaman/warrior. I don't know about you, but I don't have an answer. |
