Your slash MUTILATES the elixir vendor!
The elixir vendor is DEAD!!
You receive 287 experience points.
You snap out of your madness at the death of your opponent.
From the grave, the elixir vendor says 'You may take my life.. but you'll never take.. MY GOLD!!!'
You get anti-cyclops elixir from the corpse of the elixir vendor.
The Creator gives you 30 gold coins for your sacrifice.
As this log will show, the elixir vendor won't give any gold when he dies. Why not? I wanted a refund like you can get from griff! |

He was one of those, spam buy elixir... kill, refund type of mobs. Sorta like griff, but elixirs were more expensive than any of griffs items. |

I can sort of see why they gimped it... elixirs are a bit more powerful than sacks or roast ducks...
But still, if you're patient enough or have enough time, "kill vendor, get elixir -> wait for respawn -> repeat" works just the same... |

Lots of low level characters liked those elixirs because it allowed them to grab nice items like the amulets of the light at level 5 because the mobs dont see invis (hint hint). So he became a gold mine for higher characters. Hence he got gimped.
Back when he was a good align mob, I saw some guy requesting the elixir because he was too mean to pay the price! |

It also was unfair that he gave gold when he was a good-aligned mob--evils/neutrals could kill him whenever to pick up some cash, while goods could not. |

NO WAY!!! I had no idea that the certain mob near the amulet of light didn't have detect invis!! This helps alot. Even though the amulet of light doesn't add to ac, but that's alright. |

Isn't the amulet 2/3/2/0 or something?
A level 5 goodie mage can get order of light amulets for his whole group just as easily. I've done it many times before. Also, there are still plenty of cheese spots to farm gold. |
