What do those skills actually do? Can you practice (train up to 100%) them? My guess was that quick wield just took away wielding lags, but after a hundred rounds of just switching weapons back and forth, I didn't see any difference.
Quick draw sounds like it helps for murders, like an extra couple attacks in the initiating round. I dunno. |

Quick wield reduces the wield lags.
Quick draw (I believe) grabs arrows from your inventory if they arent equipped. |

Quick Wield reduces wielding lag, but I don't think it annuls it completely. I too have tried switching weapons in combat to improve the skill, but so far haven't made any progress. From what I read in the helpfiles, the lag should get less the more proficient you are at quick wielding, but I could be wrong on that. From what I've noticed, quick wield at 75% gives about a 1.5 round lag instead of the full 2 round lag for everyone else. |

I've gotten it down to just a one round lag... Pretty handy in a close fight for rogues... |

The last I heard quick wield worked at 100% even if the level was at 75. |

Any word on quick draw? I don't think Mahkan is right on this one. |

Okay here's the "new" things we have now.
1. Quick wield - This is a new rogue's ability to allow them to switch their weapons quickly.
2. Quick draw - This is a new ranger's ability, similar to quick wield, bows only. |

So... quick wield excludes bows, then. Super. Quick draw sounds pretty useless. What a waste.
Thanks. |

on the contrary... i would consider quick draw to be a mini-version of quick wield for rangers. that's a bonus, not a waste.
quick wield applies to all weapons afaik.
read more closely. |

Some people are just slow and have to have everything spelled out for them. Like these guys here. I will say it once and once only. Quick wield allows rangers to switch quickly onto bows from other weapons. Bows would otherwise be two-handed "very slow" extreme lagging weapons. It is not useless to be able to do that, considering the power of bows and two-handed damage in general. which is why is usually such big lag. |
