a couple ideas

A couple ideas that I'd like to throw out there. 1st, a recipe that made an weapon/item wild. Or that granted you the ability to use another skill (less good idea, but an idea anyway).

2nd, an item that would grant the ability to do another skill. Some mask that allowed ventriloquation, gloves that allowed stealing, or a wizard's hat that allowed the casting of some weak magic missile or something. The possibilities are endless. Maybe even some item that did nothing but added the ability to cast flame arrow, you know. I don't know how hard they would be to get or anything, probably would be good to be really tough. But it would be really cool to have those items sitting around. And now that I think about it, maybe an item set would be cool for that, too.

1 ) seems like a spell that belongs on a future class

2) already have objects casting spells on random. this is about as far as we can go, it would overpower some classes if they could suddenly cast create food or flame arrows as much as they want.

I think it's good to post ideas like this anyway. Gets people thinking, maybe actually come up with something that can be implemented.

Be an Illithid, that'll save your hunger for casting another spell. It's called Leech, it's fun to use, but it's only a percentage of a spell, which may mean it being 30-50% which is still good. I did it once when Illithids could be psionicists, but can't remember what it was. I MISS PSI'S....
