I was wondering if it would be possible to type tell (without an argument) and list like the last 10-20 tells you have received. Perhaps this could work with reply as well. Sometimes you miss a tell amongst battle spam and it would be nice if we had a history of tells we have received. Grouptell would also benefit from this. I've played a few muds in the past that have this and it is quite handy. Anyway, no idea how hard this would be to code on this type of mud, but just a thought. |

Sounds like a good idea; I've usually seen it under things like "tell -h 5" to show the last 5 tells. |

If you're using ZMud, this is what I use:
#trigger {You tell} {#cap tellwin}
#trigger {tells you '} {#cap tellwin}
#trigger {tells the group} {#cap tellwin}
Those three triggers capture all your tells (to and from) and grouptells to a separate window (which I named "tellwin", you can change that and call it whatever you want) which you can keep open next to your main client window and switch over to review past tells.
If you use another client I'm sure there's a way to do the same, I just don't know other clients. Hope that helps somebody... |

Actually I've already decided on the implementation...
>replay
You have 5 says, 5 tells, 5 gtells, and 3 yells to replay.
>replay tells
Bob tells you 'Whats up?'
You tell Bob 'Nadda'
etc.
There is already a list where tells go while you're linkdead, so its possible to modify that one to work this way.. its just on the back-burner, probably permanently. |

Unless, of course, you're a complete cheapskate and don't pay for MUD clients...then it's irrelevant. I use JMC, and I have no earthly idea how you'd pull that off. |

I used GMud for a while, but I started using JMC when I read about it on this site. I haven't gotten around to learning scripting yet (actually, I tried), but I figure that once I get around to it (or succeed) JMC will probably top GMud by a long shot. |
