does the weapon level factor in at all when gaining skill with enchant weapon. Does enchanting higher lvl weapons make the skill go up faster?

no, just using the skill in general increases it. you could be level 50 and enchant a long slim dagger, but you'll probably increase spell level with a higher rate of success because of the level difference in between the character and item.

Btw, increases at enchant weapon don't really make it easier to enchant weapons without them exploding. It just decreases the odds that you'll lose your concentration when trying to enchant.

Which does get annoying and drain a lot of time and mana.. but it's still probably not worth your time to master it.

I just mess around with it while waiting for people to group with or just a time killer. Sometimes I'll enchant extra fiery daggers and icicles in my spare time just in case group mates need them.

Don't forget that you can enchant for cash. You can set your price based on the number of invokers around. Try offering your services for 500 coins per layer (+1 +1) or you can even sell pre-enchanted fiery daggers and icicles. Just send out some tells asking if people need enchanting.
