Ok, well just wondering peoples thoughts on backstab... with backstab being able to do almost 900 damage unsanced.... assassination got toned down because thats an instant kill.. well 900 damage is basically instant kill...
like this below....
<= 92% : 50% : 100% : 3am =>
flee
Nourrin's backstab does UNSPEAKABLE things to you!
That really did HURT!
Nourrin's second backstab === OBLITERATES === you!
You sure are BLEEDING!
You flee from combat!
You lost 10 experience points.
<= 18% : 50% : 99% : 3am =>
it's still beyond overpowered in my eyes. just wondering what everyone else thinks.

Have you seen Nourrins equipment? He can out damage me when he is dirted. Most backstabs Ive been through only take like 500 -600 damage. |

You are a naked healer, with under 600 hp naturally, and zero spells at all. What do you expect? |

Didn't you notice that both of them were not at full hp? For a ninja to assassinate you have to be at full hp, and what I remembered, you always had to be at full hp when you backstabbed too..ooh..sounds like Nourrin has a friend up above. |

Jesus when weird shit happens why the fuck do people have to say it is someone upstairs.. Why in the ever loving hell would all the imps try and make this game to balance just to fuck it up by "helping" people out? You don't have to be at full health only assassinate works like that. Backstab works at a few scratches. |

I myself didn't even know that you could backstab at below full health, I didn't find out until well I tried it. Was always my understanding you couldn't but if I really look back and think about it I know I had been backstabbed without being full in health. I have only ever backstab deathed two people, Sosolito and Jagure. I dont know, I dont really view it as overpowered but I am bias because I am the one playing the thief. I still think Nourrin is rather weak and I wished he was a ninja personally, a ninja with the same items would be 10 times more powerful in my eyes. Ninjas aren't gimped like people are saying but I agree to be strong they need good/decent items but when they have them they are pretty damn buff straight up, caltraps, strangle to blind, staff, *cure light*, acupuncutre, endure an array of little nick nacks. |

I think the backstabbing at few scratches is a change. I don't think it used to be that way and for that reason we all may have just let it slip under our noses when it did get changed. |

Well if you're wondering about when the change occured I can't really answer that. It isn't one of mine. I looked in a very old copy of code (dating back to 2000) and it is there, so that credits it to the original imps, Stryth Zafrin and anyone else who coded before then. Can't say how old it is beyond that. |
