I *think* if you PK somebody, a multikilling affect is tracked for possible pk penalties later. There's a problem with that. OK so. If you quit out quickly the affect will lose information about who the target was.. due to a limitation of the affects.. they don't store strings and they really shouldn't. Nor should you lose the multikilling affect because quitout-relog-pk again would happen. However, since the affect caster becomes anonymous, the next person you kill, means bam, multikill penalty. What that means is that you shouldn't pk someone, quit out asap, and then login and pk someone again asap, because you'll end up hitting the multikill penalty. This is an odd scenario that doesn't occur very often, and it also kinda sucks anyway (you're killing people and quitting, then logging in and killing someone else so fast the affect hasn't had a chance to wear off... seemed a bit ganky anyway) so we didn't come up with any solution for that. |
