I added a 5% chance to get an addiction to a potion. Effects are small but long lasting and can be temporarily relieved by quaffing that potion again, or waiting it out. Monster potions, anybody? |

On a related note, you probably noticed already but I modified the exp beyond level 20. It steadily scales toward 200% at level 40 and beyond afterwards. The mob hp still grows quite a bit faster. |

Sucks for anyone who gets addicted to flight potions.
Also, if any thieves actually threw potions, this might be interesting. |

I didn't know you could throw potions and have them actually WORK on the target.
Can you throw herbs/pills too? |

Yeah you can throw herbs/pills, but you have to AIM MOUTH to hit the money shot. I've found that you can also enhance your aim skill by using the same method on the prostitutes in Darkhaven. |

A purple pill bounces off of Bob's head.
Your throw MASSACRES Bob!
Bob shivers and looks ill.
Bob disappears.
You hear a shattering in the distance.
Fragments of weapons and armor scatter across the skies. |

So.... other than a very slight hit to shield block, the penalty is just an aggrovation for ranking. Maybe make it more meaningful or remove it? More annoying than truly detrimental. |

Most addictions are annoying, unless of course, you don't want to quit. I think it's fine and a good thing the way it is. The annoyance makes sense, and you can always quit quaffing potions. Why, back in the day, we didn't have monster potions. We did things the hard way. There were also a lot more shamans and healers back then, but that's enough, I'm making myself feel old.. |

Shamans/healers used to be a lot more enticing and appealing before cure/cause continual |

Could you expand on this?
Replacing cure/cause light has somehow made them less fun? |

If you do the math (manacost/timecost/healing) you will see cure continual is useless. Maybe if it cost less mana and/or time (or 0 mana and leave the timecost as it is) it would be useful. This is not common knowledge tho because not many healers play and its even more rare to see a clueful one. |

to get to the point of potion addiction, I just don't get it. You can get addicted first try for 12 different potions at the same time, which ends up as -12 con. This is a slight exaggeration, but I have had 4 different potions on me at the same time..... pretty dumb. If the affect was less, or if the chance of addiction was less, or if the 72 hours of addiction was less, it would be fine, but as it is, it is an annoying unnecessary addiction. This is of course just my opinion. |

It is a negligible chance that you will get addicted on the first try 12 times in a row. There is a 0.000625% chance that you will get addicted to 4 different potions on the first try.
That being said, addiction isn't meant to be a good thing. |
