No longer will you suffer the dreadful lag of fleeing with blurry vision,
but also no longer will you be able to swap weapons.
May the streets be painted blessed crimson. May the vessels that carry
blood to the brain be closed. May bones be naturally warped on a fulcrum of
pain.

Its neither nerf or buff, its a change.
Chaining dirts was too big of a problem. We had chain dirting prevented earlier by dirt immunity rounds, but when we added blurry vision those got removed.
An alternative solution here would be to add rounds of immunity again. I even thought about adding more rounds if you were in combat longer, so insta-fleers wouldn't get the benefit. However its a lot of trouble to actually code this and still leaves a guy having to stay in combat for 5 rounds to be lag-free first.
The better solution seemed to be making that phase stop applying flee lags. With that now also preventing switches, its an obviously better tool vs people who fight back, which is something it also needed. |
