By these four class categories that I've arbitrarily assigned, I mean:
Mage - illusionist, invoker, necro, healer, shaman, psi
Fighter - warrior, ranger, berserker, monk
Hybrid - dkn, paladin, vampire, bard
Stealth - thief, ninja
My opinion is that each of AR's classes fall into these four categories and more or less have similar pk patterns and strategies as other classes in its same category. |

hm i dunno, i guess mage. yeah mage.
though shamans and druids are iffy on true mages, can be seen as hybrids too. but ima go and say shamans and druids are mages because although they do alot of damage with their hits, they dont have dirt, bash, and offensive skills. they have offensive spells. |

I would have to say the class I've enjoyed most is thieves. Oh yes. Fear of God, baby. |

Definately mages, with Shamans being at the top of that list. Hybrids are a close second with Dark-Knights though, as they are pretty fun to play also. |

Stealth all the way.
Ninjas are my favorite class even above thieves (especially now with the new changes to thief skills). The annoyance of having stuff stolen just can't compare to the power of Cheese. Cheese being Vanish. Mmmm. |

I always loved being monks, the ego boost of getting in a lot more hits per round than your opponent is very appealing to me, even if the overall damage doled out is no greater.
I also liked being a ranger though...
of course, these are both warriors, so I guess I'll have to say that warriors are my favorite.
I've been gone for a while, someone want to fill me in on skill changes? I'd appreciate it. |

My avian ninja in his prime could kick anyones ass he took out alot of people around the time of fell and abyssals people that wanted to prove themselves thinking he was an easy target ended up teaming up with at least 3 other people the only people that did kick his ass alone was a few warlords. |

My favorites are definitely the fighters, namely rangers and monks. However, kudos to those who play the straight mages, I love my 5/5 and 7/7 weapons and haste. Just thought I'd throw in my two cents and say, did you all notice the percentages between fighter/mage/hybrid/stealth? That's like, woah |

Maybe it's just me, but I have a fondness for bards. I don't know quite what it is... Perhaps the RP aspect of them fits my natural personality the best. |

yeah i think this thread is a particularly interesting poll. of course its not a completely accurate representative but its adequate for our purposes of assessing where the mud is in terms of replay value and balance.
looks like people have their own areas of power evenly throughout. |
