It's like 250k for level 50, though. Not a complaint, mind you, as I enjoy working up the money so I can change hometowns (trying to join a town-specific cabal), but I can see how some people would guffaw at the cost, especially those who ranked to 50 before all these new changes and town-specific cabals.

There was a period of free hometown change after the changes. Still, the price is pretty crazy. Not sure what the major downsides to people being able to change at a reasonable price (reasonable, not nearly free) would be, so..

Do some tasks, you'll get there. When you start trying gambling items, 250k won't seem like much. Hometown prices were set a very long time ago and are probably arbitrary.
