Im not sure because I myself haven't stumbled upon anything like this, but are there items in AR that give gold drop increases? If there's not, that might be useful to make a couple of them, or not if this has already been discussed previously and decided not a good idea. |

Other than a specific bard's tarot card ('Emperor' or something... don't remember which) and "surges," I don't think there's anything to increase the amount of gold you receive. The tarot card is a skill that drops a random amount of gold every tick, but good luck getting that specific card from any bards around. 'Surge' time increases the amount of gold you receive from killing mobs and whatnot.
With the amount of readily available gold sources already in the game (auction, selling items, tasks, surge/killing mobs, looting pc corpses, etc.) I don't personally see the need for "gold-increasing" items, so you might not want to get too involved with this idea. Keep the ideas coming though... can't expect the mud to continue evolving without fresh input. I'm sure Davairus and Burzuk will eventually cave on a player-suggested idea... |

Having gambled eq Diablo style is bad enough...
I really don't see the need for "increase gold" item, I believe that immortal staff actually strived towards making gold scarce rather producing inflation (ie gimping of all mass gold farming areas and such...)
And still despite their efforts there are plenty ways to hoard gold, refer to Sebryn's post. |

There are plenty of ways to hoard it, yes, but there are also easy ways to dump tons of it quickly. Gambled equipment isn't cheap for a reason, y'know... |

Our similarities end at 'you buy an item and it has random stats'.. pretty sure random stat item is a lot older than diablo. And its certainly not their style. Diablo is all about the overpowered runewords. |
