A monk?

I read the helpfiles and all that, I just dont know where monks fit in? If I knew more about their purpose I could probably come up with the rp myself. I dont get what they do.

It says defenders of the monostary, but based on the monk helpfile, im supposed to "uphold my side in the great game'. does that mean I should attack opposite alignment because of who they are? Is there anything more or less I should do?

I don't recall the monk creators ever posting any note about that other than "monks are aesthetics" which means they dont care about having the best eq.. which is enforced by encumberances on items. That'd mean monks are able to pk just as well as warriors comparatively naked (without weapons even), but then there's all the anatomys to train first, instead of the eq to get. So its probably intended to bethe type of person that goes around punishing the appropriate people for relying on eq instead of their skills.

fully trained monks can kick major ass, especially ones that use light-steel rares.

that makes me think, can they wear super powerful light gambled eq? it would be hard, because they can only carry about 5k at a time (or is it 15k), but not impossible.
