Is the FAN skill broken?

Created a ninja after reading the description of the FAN skill.

Talks about having dual parry and stuff.

After leveling and getting the fan skill and creating several fans,
and getting them IDed, I don't see any dual parry in them and their damage isnt fantastic.

Is there anything I am missing? Or the fan skill hasnt been fixed yet?

My bet would be that it wouldnt show up in the ID, since its a thing you make.

Secondly, since you just got the fan skill, its not going to be fantastic anyway. If it realy does add dual parry, it wont be all that great to start with, but since you are such a low or medium rank, the ave will be pretty low still and stuff. Just rank, and it will get better.

Try getting those weapons that actually have dual parry and have them IDed. You will see the dual parry flag.

Anyway, I am more concerned with the dual parry ability not activating while I am using it, not so much on whether the dual parry flag is present when being IDed.

Anyway, i am in the pk range several level 49s. Is that considered of a low or medium rank?

Try checking the helpfiles of dual parry and you tell me if there is a difference between a skill at level 10 and level 40+ when used against a player/mob of the same level as you are.

Does it really matter whether either of us is a male or female?
I don't remember AR is a gender biased mud.

Anyway, I have attached the helpfiles of Fan , Nunchaku below. Can anyone help me with regards to this? Thx.


Ninjas always travel with concealed weapons as their disposal, but which
weapons they carry depends on the ninja sect they belong to. Those
belonging to the Marama Kuei, which only accept male disciples, conceal
nunchaku as their personal side arm. Those belonging to the Lau Kuan, which
only accept female disciples, use fans instead as their main tool of
defense. The nunchaku carried by the Marama Kuei are stronger weapons, but
the fans of the Lau Kuan can be either unfolded open to increase its
slashing damage, or held closed to serve as a dual parry weapon.
