No, every death counts whether it's from a PK or mob.

The "deaths" are pdeaths, mobdeaths, any kind of death. Deaths count from day one.

The "kills" only count pks after you and your opponent are both past the 36th rank. Basically that means that there's no point trying to "pad your stats" by pking under the 36th rank.
