Necromancer Idea

This may have been brought up before, but I'm too newbish to know.

This has nothing to do with powering up Necromancers either, this is more of an RP thing for them, and I'm not sure where to post it.

I just thought it would be totally sweet to be able to create zombies of player corpses. Like, raise the person you just killed, or your fallen comrade to help them "keep fighting," etc. Maybe even your own corpse, lots of RP possibility.

I see it this way.. the items left in the corpse, if any, could go to a new corpse-like pile, like "the discarded remains of trance_monkey lie here" and my stuff would be in there. So, it wouldn't be a looting tool.

Also, like, they could just be generic generated warrior/other mobs of equal level as the player killed. No player skills or nothing (obviously).

I just think it would be fun/funny. Feel free to flame me now Smile

I believe you can or at least could, but the zombie would be a level one zombie. And soul capture would also do the same thing you suggested.

If someone walks in to south square that you have killed, pull their soul out of you sack and wear it in front of everyone else there. You can even auction their soul or hold it for ransom (RP purposes).

Yeah you can already raise player corpse. Used to be common to see 33-ish necro with a zombie of himself.

I beleive he was making fun of your lack of a clever humor. I saw no acusations of a lie.

I was just commenting on how he almost had a good joke there but completely dropped the ball. It is especially noticeable with the 'evil pointing monkey' avatar in use there. That's one I've seen Phostan use. He'd never have missed a joke opportunity like that. Trance-Monkey don't deserve to wear that avatar...
