Where did I read that you could wear two shields? You couldn't attack, just your defense would be way up there. Maybe it was somewhere else... not sure. Maybe it's a good idea, if it's not already here.

I suppose if you were not the best with damage anyways and could just stock up on a bunch of defense equipment and potions and you had hard-hitting groupmates...It could be almost usefull.

You'd lose parry/dual parry/riposte/counterbalance, if you had any of those additional defenses.

Shield block + dodge + no damage output = not very good tank IMHO.

Aside from being a decent sparring partner, what reason would you want to wear two shields? I still don't get it.

Train shield block? That's what I wanted it for.

Its an amusing concept that could suit a novelty mob somewhere. Probably a gnome. That's my take on this idea.

Spirit Shield + Normal Shield = Two shields.


I had a friend who had thier own server, there was a race who could transform and gain an extra arm, thus being able to tri-wield. Imms could use astrip (affect strip- not sure if it's implemented in this mud) and remove the effect of the spell and still be wearing the extra weapon.

Haha, I just imagined a Gnome hiding underneath a stack of like 10 shields, while a Giant is pummeling him with a mace.

Ooh, I've got it!! What about a crazy necromancer surgeon located somewhere in Winter that can give you extra limbs or augmented body parts to increase certain aspects of your character? You could only get one, and it would come at the cost of 5 deaths + 1 point of con:

Extra arm:
- Allows for triple shield block, triple wield, triple parry.
- Triple wield combat style only defensible by triple defensive combat style, or dual wield + wearing a shield.
- Now you can always hold a potion ready, no matter what, without sacrificing combat style.

Extra leg:
- Adds 3 to dexterity.
- Adds 50% to base movement.
- Dirt kick is 50% more successful.
- New "triple kick" skill available for monks.

Extra head:
- Unlocks secret "ettin" race (still playable by two players).
- Adds 50% to intelligence and wisdom.
- Scan range doubled (may boot some players due to spam).
