'LAG'
Many game events depend on lag. Lag is defined as an imposed wait before you
are able to perform any other action. When you are lagged, your commands are
still accepted by the game, but you must wait for them to catch up. Entering
too much too fast (often referred to as spam) is often a cause for death, so
try not to be careless with your inputs - do things as they are needed, or a
few moments in advance if you anticipate a short delay before they follow.
Skills, like performing a kick, or an attempt at a disarm, and spellcasting
are the most common sources of self-inflicted player lag. There is also a
small amount of lag for moving. The amount of lag induced by performing the
skills and spells can vary greatly, but the most common length unit by far
for combat related skill and spell lag is the "round". A "round" of lag
basically means that before you can do anything else, at least one exchange
of melee combat will be made between you and whoever you are fighting. Most
common spells use mana, and lag for one round, whereas skills commonly lag
the user for two rounds without a cost. There are exceptions to be found.
Some skills have the tremendously useful affect of imposing lag on other
players. These skills, though few in number, are staple skills of player-
killing, and you should get familiar with them. The lag they impose is not
necessarily the same as the lag you pay for them, being dependent on other
factors related to the inner workings of the skills for you to figure out.
Mobs also may be affected by lag, but the method by which they recover is
much cruder than that of players, so take care not to confuse your results on
players with the results you find when you try them on mobs. Players bashed
by mobs will behave in the same way as if a player with similar attributes to
the mob had bashed them. |

So, are you trying to say that it was only lagged for that round? I thought dirt and bash lagged for two. The guard dirted me one round, then bashed the next, and bashed the one after that (for those who couldn't tell thats why I bolded them) |

Its a mob, mobs dont have that thing where commands can be stored in a queue, so they have to be executed when the mob tries them. |

Davairus, in his charming way is telling you that mobs do NOT get lagged, or feel lag as does a player.
ALL mobs act that way. |

As I said a mob executes its command when it tries it. When the mob is lagged, lots of those different attacks you see, like disarm, shield disarm, bash, trip, dirt.. a lot of those will be avoided from executing completely. However when a mob has been mobprogged to do those things, there's nothing to stop them going ahead and doing them. if you understand the difference between a simple offensive flag and a MOBPROG you will understand what I mean. If you dont, well then you're not going to understand.
Mobprogs do not transfer when illusions and zombies are made, offensive flags do. If you go raise the paladin guild guardian, hes not going to be wrathing anymore.. if he had a flag to bash though he will do that. The mobprog-implemented kind of mob fighting is very potent and reserved for situations where you want that mob to be buff - its attacks being mapped by probabilities not preventions. |
