Okay, I actually went and looked for some save break eq, and found some good ones. Like 8 vs afflictive and stuff, a five against mal. And I identified them. The 8 one, was minus 60hp, and the -5 was -40hp, now, for a class that would need save break eq, would be one that can cast dispel mostly. And most of them, can't spare that much hp, wear both those and thats a hundred, out of say 600, thats way to much, perhaps a different approach could be looked into. I dunno much about it though, just was wondering about that |

Save breaks on eq don't stack. You only need to wear one good save break item. |

I think etso is saying wearing one save break aff, one save break mal, and one save break mental piece all at the same time (just guessing) and how that eats up his HP. |

The big health penalty is needed to make up for the extra spellcasting power it gives - and if youre going to wear breakers vs multiple save fields, you definitely need more health loss to make up for that extra coverage. |

It is equipment that lowers your enemy's spell resistances. (e.g. makes them easier to dispel, land blind on, etc) |

Etso, I think that your being a modest by saying you only have 600 health. For a shaman though -60 health is only 2 cure criticals or what 40 mana seems to be a fair trade to me. If that makes you land your dispel faster it will help you in the long run. Shamans can't stand in most fights in straight up combat anyways. |

You are thinking of it in the wrong way Simpleton. It's not two cure crits. Rather, it's one less round you can stay in combat hoping to land your mal/mental.
That being said, having played as Jutazz, I didn't find the penalties too rought. Compared to when I used savebreaks and when I didn't, using them was well worth the loss of hp |
