I've mudded with a 400mhz comp, and a 3.2ghz comp.. no difference to me. Only difference is the client support, 400mhz isn't gonna be able to run the newer zmud versions, and if you try.. good luck to your 400mhz. |

yeah, can't really say, my PC and laptop are both about 366MHz
But, I think running the wireless makes more lag on the laptop. Either the extra resources for the wireless, or the signal strength isn't always perfect, or the loads of spyware I got on there I keep meaning to remove. |

I run off my neighbors comcast with no lag. The connection just randomly drops once ina blue moon, only to reconnect immediately. I haven't had trouble with spyware either. |

its your internet connection, not your computer speed that will matter.
UNLESS you are using Zmud but i think once you're connected, computer speed doesn't matter and its still all about internet connection speed. |

Yep, finally upgraded to DSL from dial-up about four months ago...goddamn, what a difference.
Same CPU/motherboard and version of Zmud as was on Dial-Up, but the connection no longer does that infamous "pause" everytime you're about to enter a PK/everytime you're running from a PK/or everytime you start a group (what the hell is with that???) |
