|
|
When a berserker is raged, he has an inclination to attack his target
automatically, during normal combat rounds. Unfortunately, this was
forcing TWO rounds of combat at the same time - one for the "attack",
and then his round of violence as well. So an "autorage" attack was
literally two murders at once. With rage damage, and possible hobble
on top, that's obviously a huge deal.
You've probably seen it plenty if you have fought berserkers, but wrote
it off as bad defences, luck of the draw, or whatever. A careful search
for the problem has yielded the expected bug.
This is fixed.

Lots of evidence of this, should change the berserkers being "cheese" picture somewhat. Since hobble/rage is especially vulnerable to the effect of this bug. Autorage is still nice enough though, since you aren't lagged by doing it in the way a murder will do.
Just to make sure I was fully clear on this, it pertains to the "autorage" attacks that berserkers do on bystanders. The berserker was guaranteed to get murder+combat round in one instant, which for anyone else is a piece of luck that rarely happens, and evne then, only under some vague circumstances which can't really be prevented. Also because of the nature of the beast, there was no way that an opponent could get his combat round's attacks in before the berserker. |

I find this kind of confusing - I rage, walk around, the person I'm hunting walks into my room, I attack automatically (this is autorage??), and I get double the amount of attacks that I should? Is that what was fixed, so that we only get one rounds worth?
If it is, that sucks. |
