Ranger race?

Thought on races for rangers? Many of them look good but I could only see myself being Slith, Stone Giant, or a reluctant Human.

I'm trying to decide mainly between Slith and Stone Giant. Thoughts on that? I'm a fairly new player by the way, I wouldn't even know where to put the trains, nor find +stat items and so on. In time.

I would go werebeast for a newbie ranger, actually. They have spiffy special abilities but also balanced stats and are good to learn with. My first level 50 was a werebeast ranger.

Well I have my own preference *grin*, but werebeast is the best to start with. Heheh though when I first came to AR it was with an Elven Ranger, I got my but HANDED to me, nuff said.

Sorry if wrong forum. I've read both of those guides and the ranger page numerous times but can't decide. As for werebeast, it does sound good, but its just not me as far as RP goes. Hence, slith vs. stone golem, with human halfheartedly considered.

If your new I would think that of those two choices, slith would be the best. They get an extra tail attack, have a much higher dex to avoid those blows, can swallow corpses whole, and can shed their skin if they get into trouble. I personally favor high dex to high strength, but again thats a personal choice. As to one being better than the other though..... I dont know. Ive seen some pretty scary things done by a stone giant ranger with full pets.
