Why does that happen?
I know I've died atleast 6 times(stupid mobs) but I know I've killed more then 0.... are the anti-padding measures that bad? Because every time I've killed the same person more then once, I only initiated once...

From the ratings online:

3. Yurneepo the Shield of the Forest - 8 hours 39 minutes
6. Farist the Lieutenant of Strategy - 15 hours 44 minutes
Yurneepo: kills 0, deaths 6
Farist: kills 0, deaths 6

Kind of funny, I know there are other factors involved, but still...

Thats for uncaballed characters only. I doubt Rulo 4-0 is all level 50's for example.

...unless it counts the kills like: they happened when those chars were uncaballed, then they got caballed but its not retroactive. Dunno.

It could be cheese multikilling, or it could just as easily be just pk'ing excessively.. that isn't deducable from those "worst matchup" stats. They were just inducted so they have been sitting at 40 a while racking kills up. I doubt that it is the result of multikills in a short period for both of those guys.

I recall you saying something about being able to rack up 100+ kills while you ranked without incurring penalties as long as you stayed away from multikills. have the penalties changed recently?

Nope. Its true that you can game the system for a hot record (especially given current top pk stats.. only 58 pks takes #1 spot for the whole year?) ... but on the other hand, if you spilled over the limit and keep going, you sink a lot faster and damage quickly turns irreperable. So I wouldn't advise trying to do that without knowing what you were doing.

These monthly stats only count penalties incurred in the month, not the cumulative score, so that process really won't affect the results too much. Unless by some amazing luck, a guy manages to get one level along with two pks a day, he's going to be penalized. Man. One pk a day is a lot. So dont worry about lowbies. IF they could easily abuse it they would be doing so.

Mandor, when that was stated it was in the context that each rank beginning at 36 had a secret allotment of PKs you could achieve before going over.

So like, if you're allotted like 1 PK at 36, and kill three people during that rank, you could possibly already be at -3 (+1, -2, -2). Hence the irreparable damage Dav's talking about.

That's just a crude guess, no one's ever released what the PK limit for each rank really is since this system went in. I don't think so, anyway. It's not hard to deduce, though.

It'd probably be more like this

+1 +1 +1 +0 (first penalty doesnt hurt) -1 -2 -3 -6 -12 etc

Niche PKing. If you sit at the same level PKing without leveling up, your kills will start becoming penalized once you hit a certain limit. This applies to characters from levels 36-48 (35 and below have their kill total reset when they hit 36, and 49 and above are in the PK range of all level 50's). Now the limits themselves are fairly generous: if you spread out all your kills perfectly before you hit 49, you can amass over 100 PKs total between levels 36-48 without breaking any limits, which is more kills than any character in the Graveyard has so far. However, if you sit and pad your PK record at any single level as Txivnezjwo did at 43 or Kilwala did at 36, you will wind up racking up negative kills very quickly, hurting your PK record in the long run. If you're applying for cabals, you may want to save some kills for any cabal tests/trials assigned or else risk going over limit. It's a good idea to apply early so that you can start doing any cabal trials immediately and then get back to leveling, which will allow you to keep PKing without worrying about going over any limits from PK's that may have been part of a cabal trial.

You have to spread them out while levelling, you dont sit at one rank pking over and over. See previous post for how that pwns a pk record.

Oooh.... do pk records just go to 0.. or at you at like -12 and rebuild from there?

If it's the former, then that's gonna suck for these keeper apps.

You shouldn't really be able to fall below 0 though..

Even the worst niche pk'er should be able to redeem himself if he leveled and went on to success higher up, especially 50. (And at the same time he still keeps his deaths from the niche period so its still bad).
