Facebook and I presume myspace (although I don't use the latter as much) have a thing called 'applications' which you can have viewable on your profile and you can sometimes use it to send things to other people. This might be a way to get the word out about ar a bit.
Please discuss and keep the flames down. I'm outta marshmallows. |

I'm not sure too many people want their friends to know that they secretly wear a robe and wizard hat. |

Replace 'their friends' with 'girls' and yeah, you're 100% correct. |

Or in some instances, "girls" with "guys who think nerds are hot" in which case, I'm all for it. |

I think that's a bad idea because then that could be construde as OOC shenanigans and then you'd be punished in the game. It's best to not tell anyone and keep quiet. Otherwise you could suffer the consequences. |

Well, you wouldn't like keep tabs of your characters on there, it would just be getting the word out, which is no more ooc than telling your friends about it. |

yes, you could argue that. But in the end does it really matter what you argue? In the end if you are acused of OOC shenanigans, you're guilty by a trial of Dav and his peers. besides if your friends play then there's even more suspicion that you are OOC'n it up.
Case and point, Pip. |

I dunno theres already an ar players group on myspace...And I'm pretty sure only my closest friends know i play ar, and they give me a hard time for it...I'm pretty sure no one waltzes into work everyday and introduces everyone to ar....I mean we don't want anyone to think we're nerds or anything... |

I was thinking maybe it could be something like a quiz: What level of mudder are you? Or one of the exchange types (So and so has given you a fiery dagger) and you can have it show up or not.
And I dunno about the rest of you, but I relish in my nerdiness. |
