'FURY'
The raw and brutal ferocity of the berserker is unarguably the most dangerous
and formidable among any in the realm. Their power and vigor does not only
exist through the act of untamed rage.. it is a blazing inferno that dwells deep
within them, unreconciled.
During combat, their adrenaline will generate a small amount of fury with each
blow they strike, while other, more offensive skills such as HEADBUTT or BODYSLAM
will inflict a physical burst of pain that spikes fury very quickly. Abilities
that shout and the BERSERK skill also raise fury. In fact, just about everything
does. A berserker can also MEDITATE to increase their fury.
Fury must be built and maintained through active combat, otherwise the berserker
will slowly calm himself. However, entering the state of RAGE forces blood to
circulate through their bodies in vast quantities, causing an adrenaline rush,
thus fury will grow at twice the rate. Entering the state of BERSERK puts a
temporary pause on temporal-based loss of fury.
As fury progresses, the berserker's temper rises in amplitude, growing from cross,
to furious, to unlocking frothing at the mouth at their highest levels of fury.
These levels of fury add some additional effects to their offensive abilities.
For the purposes of clarity in helpfiles, fury will be referred to as such:
* cross/angered/tier 1 = the berserker has exceeded 40% of max fury
* furious/tier 2/"high fury" = the berserkers fury is at or over 80%
* livid/frothing/foaming/tier 3/maximum = fury is at 100%
Add %N to the prompt to see your current fury / level.
Note that becoming poisoned will prevent the berserker from accessing
their fury or any of the special enhancements it makes to their abilities.
Avoid food poisoning and be prepared properly with a cure.
