You have been KILLED!!
You turn into an invincible ghost for a few minutes.
As long as you don't attack anything.
You feel less healthy.

Though this did cost me almost everything, including a superbly enchanted hell blade, I dont care for the eq, I can get it back. What burns me is how much shit has happened to me lately... WHat the ****!!! I couldve saved all if I had gotten back to my corpse. I thought you were granted at least SOME mv when you die. Or is that just for everyone but me? |

There is only one reason to my knowledge that this would happen.
When you died, you died with no moves left. You ran out of moves, couldn't flee/couldn't run because your enemy tracked you down, then when you died you had no remaining moves to get back to your corpse. |

Despite your paranoia, no the server is not out to get you. It's a Game, deal with it. And I think Louis is correct, you return with the same amount of move that you die with. |

Edit: Girls are taking over video games (all games, in fact) these days. I was playing Halo 2 today, and this freaky chick was royally pwning everyone in sight.

no, no she's not.
When you look at somebody it tells you wether or not they are a girl or a boy. I know this is a male dominated mud, but I think that means that you should be on the look out for when you find girls, especially girls like us that actually get on the forums and post. I don't know about other girls, but I usually make female charactors, most of whom take offence at being repeatedly called a man. Glance at the descriptions. Note the gender. Please. [/rant] |

I told a few guys I was a guy, and girls, to get them to stop speaking to me so much, (whats up asl) that kinda thing. Us girls dont like that Jamus... Maybe if you guys would ease off of us a bit we could enjoy the game. |

Haha, I hate people like that. That's when I really like my 6 years of french class. I just start responding in french like some canadian with a concussion. (From playing hockey of course) |

Hm maybe there is a better way to make male/female chars more immediately noticeable/distinguishable besides vague titles and one word in description |

most descriptions make it clear with just a light scanning of the paragraph. Look for key words that describe girls. ('her' 'hers' 'she') amoung others. |

You need to highlight the word "delicate" on your mud client. Every female description ever made contains at least one instance of that word. It doesn't matter if they're a mutated lesbian fire giant berserker, it will still say delicate at least once. |

Look out for 'sensua', 'curv*', 'slim', 'svelte' etc amongst most other female descriptions. Very rarely you'll see an overweight female character. It just doesn't fit into the RP goals of almost 99% of male/female players |

If I ever make a chick character, the description's gonna be something like this:
Code: |
<30hp 10m 10mv> l chick
You can't help but notice the hottie standing across the
room from you. She looks like this:
~@^@~
/ X \
<( ) ( )>
$/ \ / \$
/ Y \
\ | /
/_|_\ ...but with a lot of swords and crap. She's 1337.
She is a master explorer.
Chick is in excellent condition.
Chick is using:
<worn about body> a thin, translucent robe of silk
|
Damn, that chick's hot.

You could use this...
Code: |
> whois averis
[ Half ] Averis Malefact the Master Poet (M)
Players matched: 1
>whois kaaria
[ H-Elf ] Kaaria Soun the Attendant of the Monastery (F)
Players matched: 1 |

Okay, lets have a little lesson.
Girls names usually end is vowels or have alot of vowels/vowel sounds in them. Maybe I'm over exagerating but you get the point. (then again I guess you do have people like Istina. So check the name first. And then just look at the description, People. It isn't hard! especially if you're going to sit there looking at the person a dozen times over, checking out their equipment or whatever it is yawl do when you look at people silently a million times. Poor Saegen I've followed her through listening to people talk about her over a few charactors and I usually have to correct them. Because I'm perceptive like that.
course if you wanted to implement something like that, be my guest. It'd solve the problem, I suppose. |
